01 — The last piece

Meals are the last piece.

With wearable devices, sleep and activity are now recorded just by wearing them. Only meals are still entered by hand, dish by dish.

03 — Business

Meals, recorded from the photos you take.

Our main business today is the development and operation of the smartphone app ChronoBite (パシャミール in Japan).

ChronoBiteパシャミール in Japan / app for iPhone and Android

ChronoBite finds meal photos taken with your usual camera in your photo library and records the meal for you. AI estimates each dish and its portion from the photo, showing a range rather than a single figure where the photo cannot tell. When connected to the Health app, sleep and workout records appear on the same 24-hour timeline as your meals.

  • No food search or portion entry
  • Ranges, not single figures, where a photo cannot tell
  • Photos are screened on the device; the whole library is never uploaded

05 — Message

Message from the CEO

Meals are the last piece
of the daily record.

In recent years, as wearable devices have spread, sleep and activity can be recorded simply by wearing them. Meal records, on the other hand, still mostly mean searching for dishes and entering portions by hand, and many people find it hard to keep going.

I believe meals matter most to our bodies, and that they are the last piece of the daily record. Only when meals join sleep and activity can we look back on the rhythm of a day along the clock. And I believe that making this easy for anyone to keep up is necessary for extending healthy life expectancy in the years ahead.

パシャミール grew out of an earlier project called 食レキ (Shokureki), built around the idea of creating a meal history automatically. At the time, recognizing meal photos with AI required huge amounts of training data, and it was difficult for an individual to build. Advances in AI have finally made it possible.

As its first service, ChronoBite, Inc. is developing ChronoBite (パシャミール in Japan), an app that records meals simply from the photos you take.

What we offer are trends and estimates drawn from your own records. We will be candid that photo-based estimates have errors, and we will handle the photos and data entrusted to us with care.

We are a small company, and we will move forward carefully, one step at a time.

Profile

Masataka Suzuki

Representative Director, CEO & Engineer

In 2013, Masataka Suzuki completed graduate studies at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, and joined DeNA Co., Ltd. as an engineer, working on large-scale platform development and AI research and development. After building products at several startups including LayerX Inc., Suzuki founded SmiQle, Inc. in 2024 to develop an AI-powered platform for real estate transactions, and continues to serve as its Representative Director.

Suzuki first conceived Shokureki, an app for logging personal meals, in 2019 and began developing it around 2021. The idea was difficult to realize as an individual with the technology of the time. With advances in generative AI, Suzuki founded ChronoBite, Inc. in 2026 to bring it to life as ChronoBite (パシャミール in Japan), and serves as Representative Director and CEO.
